GOP Saving Women From Eternal Damnation
Since the GOP swept (thundered?) into office state-by-state since 2010, they have systematically written and passed laws across this great land that will save American women from eternal damnation by taking control of and decimating all Pro-Choice (and heretofor LEGAL) healthcare options; by defunding cancer screening availability for the poor and middle class; and by cutting affordable access to birth control even when access to certain drugs is necessary to combat cysts, cancer, etc.
The reasoning of these predominently caucasian men echoes a primary tenant of conservative Christian Right-ness: that women of any race, creed or education are incapable of making informed, moral, ethical or righteous decisions when it comes to their reproductive and/or other internal organs.
A vote for Mitt Romney, a Morman whose religion bars women from any power or leadership position in ministry (a position far beyond that taken by Catholics) and who has embraced the state-by-state reduction of woman personhood in favor of the personhood of TWO CELLS!!! and who has supported the many laws that have wrestled away a woman's autonomy ... voting for this chamaleon of many colors/ideas/professed beliefs/ this Romney who has supported the RYAN BUDGET that will gut childhood lunch and Planned Parenthood programs but give an extra $200,000 a year to millionaires ... this will be another blow to the sacred self-determination of 51% of America's adults. Females.
If you believe that women are second citizens without morals or reasoning or the ability to rule their own lives and bodies or that this world is a better place when women are IN THEIR PLACE, vote RED/GOP.
If you feel that women should master their fates; be responsible for their pasts, futures and progeny; and have the same opportunities as men, vote for Mr. Obama. Why? Just look at his family ... his two daughters and his intelligent, powerful, strong, attractive spouse. His choice in a partner will tell you all you need to know about his opinon of women ...

Elect Santorum and Get the Pope in a Twofer!
Rick Santorum is a Catholic whose religion overrides everything else in his life. His world views, circa 1949, would be laughable if they weren't so scary. Return women to uninterrupted pregnancy; keep them barefoot; keep them so busy raising and teaching children they can't affect the world around them or even the choices in their own lives.
Castigate and revile gays and lesbians and preclude them from enjoying the same legal protections as heteros. Oh, and don't forget to remind them THEY ARE GOING TO HELL.
There's a reason to separate church and state. Santorum is the poster child for this wise decision from the framers of our Constitution - unless of course, you're excited about getting the Pope as our real president! The way Cheney was the real president during W's 8 years.
"Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God, the things that are God's."
Even Jesus of Nazareth understood the separation of church and state.

AZ Gov Brewer Hastens Cancer Deaths
GOV. JAN BREWER HASTENS CANCER DEATHS
Gov. Brewer, we’d like to introduce you to our friend, Lucy, an Arizona resident. Unfortunately, due to the fiscal policies enacted by you and your Republican cohorts, this hapless young woman died in January, 2012 at the ripe old age of 42. So you can rejoice! Another deadbeat your tax payers won’t have to support fell silently off the rolls. Well, maybe not quite THAT silently … we’re still in her corner.
After watching many of the Republican presidential debates and listening to the cynical and often heartless audiences cheering for executions and a hypothetical young man dying of cancer because he had no health insurance, it is obvious that your feelings and decisions regarding “the least of these, My brethren,” are in lock step with conservatives everywhere across this grand land. Ayn Rand would be proud – and so should you!
For some reason, the party of the wealthy, by the wealthy and for the wealthy believe Lucy got herself into her situation through her own laziness or her inability to properly handle money … or maybe even because of a gambling or drug addiction. But you would all be wrong.
Lucy graduated from a 4 year college in Arizona; worked in radio; went back to school for her Masters and became a teacher with adequate health benefits. Then she got her cancer diagnosis and took leave to fight her disease. When she was fired for taking leave, she lost her benefits. In short order: Lucy could not get a job; was initially denied for SSDI; and subsequently signed up for state assistance under Arizona’s ACCESS plan.
While she awaited a response from the state, she tried selling jewelry online and even held a yard sale to raise money for her cancer treatments. The state eventually approved ACCESS which gave Lucy medical benefits but no income to live on. Of course, by then the cancer had spread to her hips and liver.
Always a fighter, Lucy started the chemo and after four treatments, she was notified that her SSDI appeal was approved and that she would be receiving disability. But under Arizona law, Lucy no longer qualified for ACCESS. So now she had income to pay rent and utilities but had no insurance to continue her cancer treatments. She went to court and the judge said sorry that’s the law.
Gov. Brewer, the most blessed of the terminally ill live out their last days saying goodbye or finalizing the last bits and pieces of a too short life. Instead Lucy, and all those like her in your state, will continue to engage in a losing battle against governmental red tape right up to the bitter end, all the while understanding in their hearts they never had a fighting chance.
Gov. Brewer, your policies and those of your state legislators helped put this woman where she is; in the ground. Congratulations! You have knocked thousands of the terminally ill, profoundly handicapped and transplant patients without absurdly expensive insurance into the aid boondocks, thereby adding tremendously to their burdens – and those of the folks who love them. You should be shouting to the rooftops what you and your fellow Republicans have accomplished! When it comes to saving money and cutting off all support for the most dispossessed in your society – and what a financial drag THOSE people have been – you have succeeded beyond even your wildest dreams. Of course, Arizona spends about $60,000 per inmate on Death Row – more than enough to pay for cancer treatments in many cases. But it’s obvious that, to folks like you, executing the living is way more important than saving the dying.
As for Lucy? Well, she thankfully left your tender Darwinian mercies behind. And whatever else you do, please don’t be hypocritical. Don’t give her death a second thought when you thought so little about her life. We knew Lucy well and have no doubt that the Carpenter from Nazareth will welcome her with open arms. We have to wonder, though, what your fate will be when your time comes.

GOP's America: Only the RICH need aply
Ronald Reagan opened the floodgates of the worship of the all-mighty dollar ... as if only rich folks were good Christians or good Americans. Since then, our nation seems ever more driven to greed - indeed, the Bush tax cuts wrestled moolah from the wallets and billfolds of the poor and the middle class and threw it at the wealthiest of the wealthy. And yet, HOW MANY NET JOBS WERE CREATED IN THE DECADE FOLLOWING THE BUSH TAX CUTS?
It seems obvious that Senators and Representatives benefit from low taxes for the rich, which is one good reason for their proclivities. Voting on attendant measures, therefore might be a terrible but unnoticed conflict of interest.
Secondary education, the one great leveler for any society, is out of reach for most without mountainous and ruinous debt as its legacy ... difficult to pay back when many companies, holding hundreds of billions of dollars in profits, are not hiring broadly. And if and when they do hire, the positions are more often than not $10-$12 an hour and lacking benefits. Try paying back an $80,000 college bill on that scenario!
These days, most bankruptcies are not caused by houses repossessed or under water but by MEDICAL CATASTROPHE. Why then are medical insurance companies not subject to anti-trust laws like every other business except ML Baseball? The cost of a sparse policy is galloping further out of reach for most of us.
When did America become the land of the rich, with government of the wealthy, by the wealthy and for the wealthy?
The GOP has been assiduously attempting for years both to eliminate the poor altogether (don't they cheer at the mention of folks with no medical benefits dying?) and to crush the middle class. A well educated worker pool who'll take ANY JOB means more black in the bottom line. So far, they are doing a fabulous job of making the rich richer .. while the rest of us poor slobs are sucking hind tit.
A cat named Grover Norquist and the billionaire Koch Brothers are behind a lot of this class war - a class war that's been raging for decades and was NOT started by any progressive.
If you want to kill America, vote RED next time out.

GOP creates circular firing squad
There is something to be said for the gifted amateur ... but not in politics. Successful business tycoons like Donald Trump and Herman Cain proved they could lead the polls - for a month or two maybe. Thin skinned, opinionated, tough talking, tactless, profit-driven egoists, they have a lot in common. But a president is not a dictator and Trump's and Cain's "My Way or the Highway" leadership style doesn't track well with the American people. Obviously.
Trump and Cain rarely hear the word "no" from any underling, including expert political wonks with valuable experience and an invaluable working knowledge of how the election process actually works.
When they do, they don't listen. Obviously. Good!
We'll see if Herman Cain can doubletalk or tripletalk his way out of his current predicament as it remains to be seen how many women who complained about his inappropriate sexual inuendo in the past, AND WERE COMPENSATED FOR THEIR TROUBLE, will make themselves known in present time to defend their reputations.
We watched gleefully as Ann Curry, the Trumpster and His Rotundity Rush Limbaugh waded into the fray. The result resembles a circular firing squad. And this is still 2011!!! Do Conservatives honestly believe that "Our blacks are better than their blacks"? Do they agree with Herman Cain that there is no racism in the US? Oops ... Mr. Cain now accuses the press of ... racism ... for reporting this story.
The circus has come to town and all the usual suspects and players are costumed in Greedy Old Party RED.
Incidentally, we envy Saturday Night Live writers who won't need to come up with even one original skit idea, much less script dialogue for the next 10 months.

GOP crowd applauds insuranceless death, executions
A disturbing trend is manifesting from the attitudes of GOP presidential candidates, insinuating itself into the bone marrow of Tea Party-affiliated debate-goers ... or is it the other way around?
Why are Republicans openly cheering the hypothetical death of an insuranceless man or the huge number of Texas executions, and on national TV yet?
These folks ... both the talkees and the talkers ... all profess to be Christians but what might the Carpenter from Nazareth say about their behavior? He forgave EVERYBODY, including murderers and He ministered to the sick and insane, giving them the greatest healthcare ever seen on Planet Earth. Without charging a cent!
Republicans never vote against their own self-interest, especially with regard to their pocketbooks. They should remember that it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a nedle than for a wealthy man to enter the gates of Heaven. Hey, don't look at me - I'm just quoting scripture!

Gov Perry Could Sell Hunting Permits for Convicted Murderers, Make $
Gov. Perry has made a SPLASH into the GOP Prexy field. He's always bragging on how many jobs he has created. Of course, most are at or below minimum wage, second only to Mississippi in this stat.
But this happy confluence helps fulfill rich Repubs need for a slave class.
I have an idea on how he could REALLY make some moolah.
Texans love to execute their convicted murderers (don't they have more folks on Death Row than just about anyone else and haven't they set a record pace for killing them?). Texans also LOVE to hunt.
Why not combine the two for a tasty and unusual blood sport? For $10,000, you get your very own murderer to hunt down and kill. The convict doesn't get a weapon and the hunter doesn't get to use dogs. You do get photos with your bounty suitable for framing at no extra charge.
Picture the taxidermist possibilities! Talk about a trophy ... You'd fill Texas' coffers in no time flat.
